Want a security review call? We’ll do that too.

General

Who is Grace designed for?
Grace is purpose-built for Canadian mental health professionals — psychotherapists, psychologists, social workers, and counsellors — in solo or group private practice. Every feature is tailored to Canadian regulatory requirements, clinical workflows, and the privacy standards that mental health practitioners must uphold.
Does Grace work on mobile?
Yes. Grace is fully responsive and works in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop. There is no app to install — simply log in from your mobile browser to manage your schedule, review client records, and approve notes between sessions.
Does Grace support French?
Yes. Grace is built from the ground up for English-French bilingualism. The user interface, clinical templates, and note templates are available in both languages. Clinics in Quebec and francophone practitioners across Canada can use Grace entirely in French.
What’s the Founding 100 offer?
The Founding 100 offer guarantees a rate of $99 CAD/provider/month for the first 100 eligible clinics or practitioners. Start with 3 months fully free, then your rate stays the same for as long as you remain a member. All core Grace features are included. Clear terms and fair-use policies apply — see our pricing page for full details.

Product & Features

Does Grace support group practice scheduling?
Yes. Grace supports multi-practitioner scheduling with individual calendars, room management, and client online booking. Group practice owners can view team-wide schedules, manage availability, and prevent scheduling conflicts — all from a single dashboard.
Can I customize intake forms?
Yes. Grace offers customizable intake forms that you can tailor to your practice. You can add, remove, or modify fields, create consent forms, and send forms to clients through the secure client portal before their first session. All completed forms are stored directly in the client record.
Does Grace handle insurance and eClaims?
Telus eClaims integration is currently in development. Grace already supports generating insurance receipts that meet Canadian requirements. If eClaims is critical for your practice, mention it in your Founding 100 application so we can prioritize your use case.
Is telehealth included?
Yes. Grace includes built-in telehealth capabilities for secure video sessions with clients. Telehealth is available as part of the core platform at no extra cost. Confirm advanced feature details during your demo.
Does Grace integrate with other tools?
Grace is designed as a comprehensive, all-in-one system. It includes scheduling, clinical documentation, billing, and client communication. Integrations with popular tools such as Google Calendar, Canadian payment systems, and Telus eClaims are being rolled out or are in development.

Privacy & Compliance

How does Grace handle PHIPA/PIPEDA requirements?
Grace is designed to support PIPEDA and PHIPA requirements through end-to-end encryption, audit trails, consent-forward workflows, and least-privilege access controls. Compliance depends on your clinic policies and configuration — we provide the technical safeguards and documentation to support your regulatory obligations.
Is client data encrypted?
Yes. All client data is fully encrypted at rest and in transit. Only authorized clinical staff can access client records.
Where exactly is data stored in Canada?
All client data is stored in the Montreal region (ca-central-1) with fully Canadian data residency. No client data crosses Canadian borders. This data residency architecture is designed to support provincial privacy requirements and regulatory college obligations around data sovereignty.
Can I get a BAA or Data Processing Agreement (DPA)?
Yes. Grace provides Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) on request for clinics that require them as part of their compliance framework. Founding 100 members receive priority support for legal and compliance documentation. Contact us or mention it during your demo to receive a DPA.

AI & Documentation

How does AI-powered clinical documentation work?
Grace’s AI listens (with client consent) or analyzes your session notes to generate draft clinical notes in your preferred format — SOAP, DAP, or narrative. Every AI-generated output is clearly labeled as an “AI-Generated Draft” and requires your review, editing, and approval before it is saved to the clinical record. The AI never makes autonomous clinical decisions.
Does AI automatically write my clinical notes into the chart?
No. AI outputs are drafts. You review, edit, and approve every note before it becomes part of the clinical record. This human review process is a core design principle of Grace (GAL-4) and cannot be bypassed.
Can I review AI-generated notes before they’re saved?
Absolutely — this is mandatory. AI-generated drafts are never automatically saved to the client record. You will see each draft clearly marked as an “AI-Generated Draft.” You must review it, edit if needed, and then explicitly approve it. This human review step is a core design principle of Grace (GAL-4) and cannot be bypassed.
Does Grace record therapy sessions?
Grace never records without explicit consent. When audio documentation is enabled, both the client and therapist must consent before any recording begins. Audio is encrypted, processed to generate a draft note, and then immediately deleted — it is never permanently stored. You can disable audio features entirely.
What AI model does Grace use?
Grace uses advanced language models that are carefully configured for mental health clinical documentation. All AI processing is done with strict privacy controls: no client data is used to train models, and all processing respects our Canadian data residency commitments. The specific model may evolve as technology advances, but our privacy and security guarantees remain constant.
Can I turn off AI features?
Yes. Clinics have full control over which AI features are enabled and when they are used. You can disable AI documentation, suggestions, and audio workflows individually or all together. Consent is required for audio workflows. Grace works perfectly well as a traditional practice management system with no AI features enabled.

Pricing & Onboarding

What’s included in the monthly price?
Grace includes scheduling, AI-assisted clinical documentation, progress notes, billing and receipt generation, client portal, telehealth, and secure messaging — all in one subscription. There are no hidden fees or add-on charges for core features. Founding 100 members get 3 months free, then all core features at $99 CAD/provider/month — your rate is guaranteed for as long as you remain a member.
Is there a free trial?
We offer a free personalized demo where we walk you through Grace with your specific workflows. For Founding 100 members, we offer a satisfaction guarantee during the onboarding period. Book a demo to see Grace in action and discuss which option works best for your practice.
How long does onboarding take?
Most practitioners are up and running in 1–2 weeks. Onboarding includes data migration from your current system, account configuration, template customization, and live training. Founding 100 members receive priority onboarding support with a dedicated specialist to ensure a smooth transition.

Comparisons

How is Grace different from Jane App?
Grace is built specifically for Canadian mental health professionals, with AI-assisted clinical documentation, Canadian data residency, and PIPEDA/PHIPA privacy controls built in. Unlike general-purpose platforms, Grace understands mental health workflows — SOAP/DAP notes, outcome tracking, and discipline-specific therapeutic tools. Grace also upholds GAL-4: AI assists but never replaces clinical judgment.
Why switch from SimplePractice?
SimplePractice is a US-based platform with data hosted in the United States. Grace offers fully Canadian data residency (Montreal), English-French bilingual interface, AI-assisted clinical documentation designed for Canadian standards, and pricing in Canadian dollars without conversion fees. For Canadian mental health practitioners, Grace is built from the ground up for your regulatory and clinical reality.
